Promotion ManagementUnique promotion codes can be created to offer discounts on order totals. Multiple parameters and restrictions can be combined to use promotions to address many discount needs. Status, begin date, and end date determine whether or not a promotion code is active. Discounts can be applied to the price of an item, the shipping cost for the order, or the order subtotal. The discount itself can deduct a percentage or a fixed monetary value. Multiple criteria can be assigned to a promotion to restrict how the the code can be applied, who can use the code, and how often the code can be used. Promotions can be restricted to a specific customer and to a specific product. Minimum ordered items, shipping cost, and order subtotal determine minimum criteria that must be satisfied before the discount is applied. Promotions can be also be limited to a maximum applied discount and maximum number of uses.
