Support Policy
Unlimited email support is provided via an email discussion list.
Official support for the HostedStore application addresses installation,
configuration, and day to day issues that arise during use.
Basic modification and enhancement questions are also welcome
on the support list. At our discretion, we may determine
that the complexity of a question is too involved to qualify for basic
support. In such a case, it is recommended to seek the aid of a
skilled Lasso developer on the support list, from the
developer directory, or
from another resource. In general, we go out of our way to help
users, but common sense will dictate when a project requires
the attention of a contracted developer.
Free upgrades to new versions of the HostedStore application are
included with the license. Users are encouraged to keep their
version up to date to allow them to take advantage of the latest
features and to make the support process a lot easier for everyone.
Great care is taken to make versions backward compatible so that
content pages from older versions will work with the next version.
However, it may be necessary to add code to the older content pages
to take advantage of new features. The upgrade process will obviously
be a bit more involved for stores that want to take advantage of new
features, but have made many modifications to the default content pages.
