Wish Lists

Wish lists allow customers to store products for future purchase by themselves or others. Customers can make their wish list publicly searchable or keep it private and email a link to it to their friends and family. If a wish list contains configurable products, then the validity of the configuration is verified before the product is added to the shopping cart. If an attribute is no longer offered, then the product will not be added.

Items purchased from a wish list are flagged with a label indicating it is a wish list item when displayed on the shopping cart detail page and in the order history section of the customer account area.

Once a wish list item has been purchased it is removed as an active item in the wish list and is set to a purchased status. Both active and purchased wishlist items are viewable in the wish list section of the customer account area. In the same section customers are also able to change the public search status of their wish list and email a message with a direct link to the wish list.
